The White Feathered Nest

I was invited to join a new link party called Feather Your Nest Thursday's at Secrete Garden Cottage
I left my camera in the van my husband took to work so I will have to go into photo archives.

First I make sure the outside of my nest is beautiful to look out at.

As much as there is color outside my home from all the beautiful flowers, the first thing you notice when you come inside is all of the natural light from all the windows and WHITE, lots and lots of WHITE.
If you have not read my blog before then you would not know I have a HUGE thing for WHITE.
In fact I have filled my home with white of all types, shapes and sizes.  From cabinets to platters, shelves to table runners, no room to me is complete without something white in it.
I love to have old, crackled, chippy and aged white stuff around me.

I love to have plants indoors too.

I have quite a collection of quilts for displaying in my home.

Even the cabinets are packed with collections.

I usually have a white pitcher in each room for fresh flowers.

I love to have candles all around the house.

I hope you enjoy feathering your nest as much as I do mine.

Stop back and visit Secret Garden Cottage to see how other bloggers feather their nests.

  2. Your feathered nest is BEAUTIFUL! I love the outside of it, so large and spacious, it appears. Your white is so perfect, I, too would love to have lots of white around, but my hubby doesn't love it quite like I do, so I have gone as far as I can with it, I think.
I will definitely be back to visit you again and thank you so much for visiting me today.
    Hugs, Cindy S

  4. As much as I love the inside of your home and your incredible creativity (amazing) I simply adore the exterior!!!! I think it was a photo of your house on google image search that led me to your blog in the first place. It is perfect!

  5. OH ALAINA, that is so much hard work.

I have been painting and recovering chair seats. I have been working on a chandelier, restringing and beading the crystals.(IT came with nothing so I had to find the crystals first) I am working on another light fixture too...and tomorrow I will work on a bedroom I forgot I had...I just have to finish the ruffle on the slipcover..hang a drape thing over the closet door and make it look pretty. then I will do a post on it...It sounds dumb but I forgot about this room and it is the only finished room in the house...I coulda posted about it like months ago. what a dork, I am. I just never go upstairs. the kids use it for their friends when they sleep over etc.

  10. Ps. I just realized you are one of the people that inspired me to put white plates on two of my shelves. Which in turn caused all kinds of changes in several rooms.....I will have to post about it as some point! (at my spindlecottage blog--I have several blogs!!! I think you might as well)
