Spring Mantel

I just read about Mantel Party Time at the Nesting Place and I thought I would join in, I am up for that kind of pary.  I am going to show you two mantels, first is my livingroom mantel, it is a faux one that I made using an existing header I found at a flea market and some spare molding I had collected over the years.  We do have the space behind the wall ready to put a fireplace in, only we have other parts (new addition and garage) of the house that need to be finished first.  It is dressed for Spring.  But.....my favorite mantel is up in our addition waiting to become a mantel for the fireplace in our master bedroom sweet. It is an old white one with crackling paint and great molding but simple and it has a square nail sticking out of it.

  4. Hi Alaina!
Thanks for your lovely comment about My Story on my blog. I love the Mantel and it looks so beautiful! Spring is in the air, isn't it? Here we still can't see the green, but soon.
    Have a lovely weekend,
    Hugs,

  5. Hey! You put my cottage on your blog roll...very cool indeed! You made my day. I really like both your mantles but the chippy one is the best. Is a button the picture under everybody's heading on your blog roll or the advertisements? I know I can be really slow sometimes.
