Free Time For Decorating

I enjoyed my first day with ALL three of my children at school.

Did you hear any random yelling throughout the day?
That would be the MOMS overjoyed with having a day to themselves all over the counties.

I used my free time to clean the dinning room and redo the table with a fall table scape.

I am going to join Marty for Table Top Tuesday at A Stroll Thru Life and Kathleen for White Wednesday at Faded Charm.

My version of the burlap table runner.
I have not bought the sewing machine yet so no ruffles.

I did not bother setting the table, we only eat in there during Holidays or Special Occasions.
It is my other favorite room in the house because it is usually always clean.
It brings peace to me to have at least one room in the house that I can count on being toy free.

In the back you can see the white cornstalks I made for Fall.
I did not sell them at the flea market they were my favorites.

This is one of a pair of candle holders that were once ugly brass and now are beautiful.
I painted them white and distressed them with some stain I had around the house.

Thank you for stopping by to visit.

Don't forget to stop by Faded Charm and A Stroll Thru Life.
They are both linked to bloggers with great eye candy and ideas for decorating.

  6. I wish my dinning room was as clean and nice as yours. It is a formal dinning room but in the only place we eat as we have a galley kitchen. It's smack dab in the middle of the house with an arch to the l.r., french doors to a sunroom, plus the doors to the kitchen and hallway! Do you think it becomes a drop off point for everything in the house? You betcha!

Remind me to had my brass if you ever make it out here...
    Hugs,
    Dawn

  7. Dang, can you decipher any of my dozens of typos! I'm blaming it on my daughter who is sitting here wanting me to play with her instead of type. Imagine that. Gotta go!

  12. actually, I thought the table runner looked great without ruffles--simple, yet really pretty. OH how I yearn to have one clean/tidy/neat/toy free room in my house. Sniff. Now I have to go look at my marker-covered dining room table and cry a little.
