Better Than a Breadbox

So Simple!

I have seen these great pots with french writing on them on the blog Heaven's Walk.
Make sure you stop over and visit Laurie, she has a simple tutorial on how you can make one too.

Heaven's Walk pot

After seeing the picture above by Laurie, I knew I had to give it a try.
So, last weekend I bought some Mod Podge.

I reverse copied a graphic from the best place to go, the Graphics Fairy.

I had bought this grungy white bread box at an antique shop months ago,
I thought it would be perfect to use for my project.

This is what it looked like in the drying stage, let me tell you that is the hardest part; waiting for it to dry overnight.

But, I did.
I just love it.
You may notice a difference in the words.
The first one I pulled off and decided to try again, like I said, simple.

How do you like my bread box now.
Oh, and it is kind of like painting, I am looking all around the house for something to put graphics on.

I am thinking of what kind of Halloween graphic I can use.
Oh yeah, I am already working on my Halloween projects, come on people, I only have two months to get ready, and we all know it will be here sooner than we think.

I am sharing my bread box with;

Thanks for visiting, now what are you going to make today.
I am off to paint another treasure I happened to find at the flea market this weekend.

  8. I had seen the post about the flowerpots but after seeing what you have done, I have got to try this! And I am in the midst of refinished a breadbox. It has a spot on the top that I could have done something like this to, but instead, all I could think of were checkerboards!!

    XoXo,
