Ballet Slipper Pink

I started painting my daughter's desk chair.
Ballet Slipper Pink.

Such a delicate color.
I am not sure what fabric I am going to use.
I am going to go through my stash of vintage fabric in hopes of finding one that has the same color in it.
My daughter ok'd ruffles at the bottom edge.

I started painting my daughter's desk chair.
Ballet Slipper Pink.

Before the chair was painted.

Flowers from the grocery store.
Same kind of pink.

In the living room.

Peonies from the gardens.
Same.

In the dinning room.

Roses in my flower garden.
Same.

Peonies in the garden.
Same.

Flowers in the pots.
Same.

I think I have my theme color this summer.
Pink.
With a side of blue.

Have you planted your pots?
What are your colors?

  1. Its going to be adorable when complete.
And we all hope you share the fabric choice when totally finished.
You could fun it up for her with a vintage muted feel of leopard print, or play it sweet shabby chic with a canvas and then a topper slipcover cushion cover for easy washing so you can keep it white, like a Mattelasse cover.
I am so inspired by your chair, I wish I had a chair to work on :)

    A beautiful June to you.

  3. Pink is definitely an it color this year for me, too. I'm actually looking for some old pink printed fabrics next time I visit a flea.

  4. I am all about pink right now too!! Just did a pink theme on my front porch, so far have only written about the no-sew pink pillow from a fat quarter...but have a wreath yet to come. I think it is the inspiration from the pink flowers in our garden, just as you were showing - aren't pink peonies about the most beautiful thing in the whole world?!? So lovely! That pink chair colour is so sweet...
