The Other Men In My Life

You thought I was talking about family, well, I am sort of, they are part of the family.
Doesn't he just ooze I Am King.
This is Einstein, or Steiner as we lovingly call him.  He was born on my birthday, which makes him very special.  He is the most lovable cat you could ever meet.  Even for an old man of 13 years he is still playful.  His favorite is to lounge on top of a chair all sprawled out soaking up the sun.
Here is Mittens my daughter's cat.  He is a nice cat, although man is he loud. He is a Manx mix and they are known for liking water, being loud and wanting to be near his owner.  He thinks he is my cat and ALL day long he is looking for me or drinking, you know it, out of the toilet. Yuck.  He also like to antagonize Steiner and he can get away with it, but only for so long then bam, Steiner knocks him right in the whiskers.

This is Cooper.  He is just a puppy, although he does not look like it at all.  He is going to be a big dog.  Cooper is a Golden Retriever, and though he is supposed to be my son's dog, guess who he is following around all day wanting to play.  Yep, me!  Oh well, I did teach him some manners.  He can sit, come, stay (sometimes), fetch and dance.  The last one was for fun.  So unless you want this big hound on top of you

DO NOT ASK HIM TO DANCE!
He is a cute dog though, see that goofy look on his face,
yep that is the real Cooper.
Now if only we could teach him to leave the shoes ALONE!  Lost another pair today, dang dog.

Beautiful Mosaic Monday

Even though Spring is upon us and the trees in the middle of the MOSAIC are in bloom now, I am including some of my favorite pictures in my gardens. Please join me and all the other MOSAIC MONDAY blogs here hosted by  Mary at The Little Red House.

I have put in flagstone walk ways that go from the front of the house through to the back yard and to other gardens.  Each of my gardens has a path for my children.  I have tried to teach them to respect my plants while they are bee, butterfly, toad, bug, or worm hunting.

A place to take a seat and watch the humming birds wiz by.
Or to simply to stop and take time to smell the roses.

Thank you for stopping to visit my garden.

Thank You!

While I sit here posting and reading blog updates, I know I should be doing daily chores around the house, but I'm not.  I am enjoying being in blogland much more.  I must say I have never seen such inspiring words, pictures and ideas in this past month, and I keep finding more... oh and the wonderful women who have been emailing me...I can't believe I did not start a blog sooner.

There are a few that I have discovered that I know will be friends for life, you can just tell when you encounter those special people.

The blogs that I love to look at because, to me it is like opening a magazine that was written just for me, filled with WHITE, WHITE and more WHITE, and throw in some pink.  Oh and I am starting to enjoy the blues and grays out there, but no, no yellow.

I can not forget the funny, no hilarious women that make me laugh daily.  Inspirational words that move me to tears.  Design ideas that blow my mind away.  Beauty that makes me want to come back for another look.

Each day I discover something new to look at, learn from or something I can do for myself.

I want to thank those women and man who have taken the time to visit me, leave me a message or welcome me back.

Have a wonderful day everyone, I have a birthday party to attend to.

Here Is The Trouble Area

I am having difficulty trying to get the arm connected to the back and seat. I have circled the area. When it is inside out they all come together in like a Y formation and I do not know what two to sew together first.  Each time I try to conect one side I seem to sew over the other.  I am afraid to cut, because I may not be able to fix it then.

Ok, All You Slipcover Ladies, You Know Who You Are!

I am not the crying type of person, at all, but I'll be darned if I am not going to just go take a shower so my kids will not see mom cry over a DAMN piece of fabric.  UHHHHHH. I am trying to sew a slipcover, oh says a slipcover person, (I was going to link, but it is not her fault I can't get this)  it is so simple, just drape here and cut, don't be afraid to cut the fabric my ***.  I pinned it so neatly and CUT the fabric, BUT HOW IN THE **** DO I SEW THE CORNERS WHERE THE CHAIR ARMS MEET?

Ok so I am crying NOW, because I know I am going to have to seam rip this whole thing out and start over &*&(&(T%$%#%$)((*@*&^%$#$(*, you know what that was, I am sure I do not need to explain.

MY SATURDAY IS NOT SO PINK NOW!!! PURE BLACK IS THE MOOD.

HELP, I NEED SOME HELP OVER HERE.  Oh and by the way I am not mad at the slipcover girl, she really did make it look sew simple.

Berries, I think I am going to NEED you to put the picture back to make me laugh.

Thank you for reading my rant and rave, I needed to get that out. So, carry on all, have a wonderful weekend.

Oh and if any slipcover ladies would like to HELP me, I would gladly accept it.
