Merry Christmas

I guess it is a really good thing I asked Santa for a camera this year.

My camera is broke.
I can't get the zoom to work.
Nothing is in focus.

Here are some pictures I managed to salvage.

This snowy picture is from Friday.
Arbor House lane all covered in snow.
We were all happy to see snow on the grown.
It makes it feel so much more like Christmas.

I was able to upload some of the pictures that turned out ok.
This is the new tree in the basement.
I decorated it in golds.
Normally I would say I am not a gold person but I really like it.

The dinning room is all ready for guests to arrive.

My favorite snow angels hanging in the hallway.

The living room Christmas tree seen through a mirror in the room.

The mantel in the kitchen.
My white amaryllis is almost in full bloom.

An urn filled with silver and white ornaments on the kitchen island.

Christmas in the kitchen.
All of my lights are on timers and the trees are lit up each morning as I come downstairs.
This is what I am greeted with as I get ready for each day as I make my morning coffee.

Thank goodness Santa said I might be able to open a certain Christmas present early.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, me, I have to work today, but I am thankful for a wonderful husband who can stay home with the kids and get our home ready for Christmas Eve guests.

Merry Christmas to all!

Dinning Room Whites

I'm late with my White Wednesday post, but better late than never.
I had to make a stop at my favorite shop and get a new candle and work on my wish list for Santa!

I am joining Kathleen from Faded Charm for White Wednesday.

I may have all my Christmas trees up, but the house is definitely not finished being decorated.
You see, I have this problem, and I found out I am not the ONLY one, I can not leave a clean room alone.
I try, so hard, I do, ask  Mr. M., the day after a party when the house is at it's cleanest I have to go and start a project.  I am going to blame my parents and grandparents for passing on the craftiness gene to me.

Anyway, I finally finished most some of the dinning room.

Welcome to my dinning room!

I am just loving the silver at white that I have been using more in this room.

Just because there isn't a fireplace in here, doesn't mean I can't have a mantel!

This great cabinet is spending the winter in the house instead of the shed.
It may just stay too!

This pine cabinet is one of the first pieces of furniture I bought when we built the house.
I love looking in this room from the kitchen with the tree lit at night.

There is one of the stockings I have been working on.
See, I just can't help myself, always working on one project or another.

Thank you for stopping by to visit my dinning room.
Now I have to work on the kitchen.

Make sure to visit all the other white loving bloggers for White Wednesday at Faded Charm.

I hope your holiday decorations bring you joy when you see them.

Christmas Mantel

Happy White Wednesday girls!

I am showing you my mantel in the living room all dressed for the holidays.
I am joining Kathleen from Faded Charm for White Wednesday and I am also joining the mantel party over at Layla's The Lettered Cottage for the Holiday Home mantel party.

As some of you who have been following along already know,
I tend to decorate in excess and Christmas is no exception.

And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care.
Well actually there is one behind the fake mantel, we just haven't put the REAL fireplace in yet.

I like to sprinkle my collection of snowmen around the house.

I have tried working with fresh greens and found it does not work so well with animals and allergies.
So I try to find nice looking faux greens.

Look girls, happy dance, it's SNOWING!!!

Look at what happened while I was out grocery shopping for Christmas cookie supplies.

LOTS AND LOTS OF SNOW.

Just what we need for three young children to play in during their long weekend.
Yeah!  I only ask that we have snow for Christmas.

Have a wonderful day.
Don't forget to stop and check out all the wonderful White Wednesday and Holiday Mantel blogs.
