Red in the House

I thought I would show you that I do have color in my home besides white.

We have a new tree in the living room, one of those prelit folding trees.
I do like those aspects for sure, I love that it is so tall and not as full,
but I do miss my funky huge tree.

I have at least four cardboard boxes full of ornaments on this tree alone.
I always say there is room for one or twenty more.

Some extra red ornaments for the living room mantel.

Mixed ornaments in an ironstone bowl on the coffee table.

Santa in the hall.

And another.

More Santas.

My favorite Santa on the living room mantel.
I love that he is winking.
Better be good!

Colorful ornaments hanging from the chandelier.

Yep, more Santas.

I think these are my favorite ones of all.

Checking his list.

I hope you enjoyed some of my RED and WHITE.

Today we are going to a Christmas party at my brother-in-law's.
Lots of fun and merriment and eating.
I made some yummy Christmas trifles to take along.
I will share pictures of them tomorrow.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. All of your little touches have made your home look beautiful! I agree with your mantra that you can always add more ornaments to a tree- I believe I did just that with my own pink tree! lol Good to see all of your pretty decorations. Merry, Merry! Sue

  6. I thought I had clicked on the wrong blog when I saw your title lol. I absolutely adore your new tree. The massive amount of ornaments are what I strive for and never really achieve. Partially due to a husband pointing out that I already have something on that branch. Your tree reminds me of the trees of my childhood. Love it!

  12. Hi Alaina,

Your home is absolutely stunning and even more so during the holidays with all of your festive decor! I love everything about how you've decorated your home - love the hanging ornaments, and the pops of red all around. We have a red, silver & white themed tree this year {the kids picked the colors}, and I just love it. :) Anyway, hope you have a wonderful holiday & enjoy the party!

Thank you Alaina for leaving your "calling card"! We have no snow either, and the weatherman today said we would have a brown xmas. But, as you mentioned.. it will come.
