I was looking on the Internet for some Anatomy pictures to print and add to my Halloween decor and while I was looking I found some little bats.
I came up with a way to put a little different spin on dictionary page art.
I came up with a way to put a little different spin on dictionary page art.
It only took a short time to make, the longest and most amount of patience was needed to cut out the tiny bats. I had a vintage dictionary handy, and I found the page for BATS and riped it out. I had to glue the page to some foam board and then just pin the bats on. Once I had the bats pinned in place, I used a little dab of hot glue to keep them at the top of the pin. After the glue dried I used a black magic marker and colored in the top of the pin. Then I framed my picture in an empty black frame.
SO simple, different and I like it.
My creativity inspires my children.
They were gluing, painting and creating spooky things right along with me to share with their friends.

How are you making your home SPOOKY for Halloween?
That's really creative. I really love it! My brain is now spinning to think of something like this to leave out year round. I'm saving this to my idea file :)

Because we are moving soon...huge move... thousands of miles away move...different country move... this year I will not be decorating for Halloween but I get to enjoy anyway all the beautiful creations that talented people like you share!
ReplyDeleteAlaina, I think you have the most creative imagination! Love all your bizarre Halloween decor. Creepy, but lots of fun!
ReplyDeletebig hugs,

I'm such a loser! I just now found the other comments onmy last post. Anyway, miss you, LOVE your bats. I'm working on a routine that will at least give me a couple hours a week to dedicate to reading my friends' blogs again.
ReplyDeleteSince my girls are grown, I don't do up the "spooky" like I use to. And no kids ever come to this neighborhood. I guess because we live in a garden home and it's mostly retired folks. I just love your bats! That's pretty darned nifty and very creative.

What a cute idea! I actually had one of those experiences where you start to enter a cave and a million bats fly out. I was about 8 and we were visiting somewhere in Arizona I think. All I really remember is me and my dad running like mad!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! Looks great!
