Our anniversary happens to fall on the biggest day the whole world celebrates love and romance.
We tend to keep it low key.
We tend to keep it low key.
I am not much of a jewelery person so he doesn't buy me jewels.
As for flowers, we both would rather it be a plant that I can put into the ground and it is way too early for that. The chocolates, he lets me buy for the kids and we sneak a few.
So, how do we show our love?
Simple ways.
XOXO XOXO
XOXO XOXO
Always a kiss before we leave each other.
A look across the room that lets you know exactly what he means.
Smooching in the closet where the kids can't find mom and dad.
Brushing snow off both cars when he is leaving for work.
Letting me paint yet ANOTHER room white.
Love notes in the lunch box, just because.
Random acts of showing love.
Never forgetting to say
I LOVE
YOU!
I also wanted to say thank you for all the kind words for my previous posts.
As for my pillows, only the red heart is a pillow, the other two are paper mache hearts that are one sided. The button heart I painted the heart white and hot glued lots and lots of buttons on. I have had the hearts many years and I think I originally bought them at a craft store.
Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
The moments of thinking and doing for the other person are what real love is.. candy, teddy bears and dinners out are just commercial. I would like the real thing on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I would rather have the kiss in the closet or the man wiping the snow off my windsheild.

Happy Valentines!
ReplyDeleteLoved the heart poem. I'm not big on jewelry or cut flowers either, but I do like chocolates! Love is letting your wife paint yet another room white. Love is all of those things that don't get near the credit they deserve.
Happy Anniversary Alaina and Mr. M!

Happy anniversary and Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteStill just love my button ball ornament from you; it
has been on my mantel all winter with a mix of other silvers and white.
Thanks.
