Here's To The New Year

A time to think of the future while pondering the past.

These are part of my dinning room center piece.
I can see using more black and white in the new year, and of course vintage!

Oh so many projects to finish.....

So many projects to start.........

But first...

down all
of these

Tonight is time for celebration.
We are planning to spend the evening with friends, our children will play while we enjoy the night.

I have some....

More crafting
More sewing
More fun with the kids
More alone time with Mr. M.
More visits to flea markets
More time for myself

I try to keep them simple and I can actually follow through with!

How about you, any good plans for this New Year?
What do you want to do more of in this next year?

I am joining Debra from Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday and Cindy from My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday and Courtney from French Country Cottage.

Snow Angels

Happy White Wednesday.
Snowy White Wednesday.
These are my girls, my snow angels.

I found these cutie pies a couple of years ago at Christmas In The Country craft show,
I bought one of the large snow angels, she is about 3 feet tall and two small ones that are around five inches tall.  Then a year later I was lucky enough to buy another large snow angel and a couple more small ones.
Each year when I go back to the show I look for new snow angels to add to my collection.
I now have two large snow angels each special in their own way and five little snow angels that I like to hang on my Christmas trees.

Their dresses are made from vintage tablecloths or linen.
The larger snow angels each are holding a special trinket.

My little snow angels each have a hallow of either gold or silver tinsel.

Thank you for joining me for White Wednesday!

A Christmas Tour

I was definitely busy, as I am sure everyone was these past few weeks.
I did not get the chance to do a Christmas house tour before Christmas.
No better time than the present!

 Arbor House Lane Christmas tour.

I hope you enjoyed my house tour.
We have one more week to enjoy before all of the decorations get put away for another year.

How about you, do you put away your decorations before or after the New Year?

A Special Gift

Happy Friday!

The count down is getting into the single digits and the school parties start tomorrow.
I have been busy going back to work and trying to keep my home in order while getting the house finished for the holiday.
I am hoping to join in on one of the many Christmas house tours I have been seeing lately,
but that will have to wait until after the weekend.
Until then, I thought I would share some of what I have finished.

I have never been the type to just buy a "Best Teacher" mugs.
I try to involve my children and show them that a gift is more meaningful when you put thought and effort into it.
This week the kids and I worked on Teacher gifts.

I try to package it up nice and pretty, details....details.

A poinsettia pen.

A slight variation of my vintage book page ornaments.

A special tag made from copies of vintage Christmas post cards.
They are tied on with ribbon and have a note on the back from my child.

I am hoping that the teachers feel special when the children hand out the packages with a wish of
Merry Christmas!
